Short post for Dad

November 16th, 2005

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith. (Matthew 21:22, ESV)

Heavenly Father, enter the hearts of those who are enduring difficult times right now. Fill their hearts with reassurance that you are in full control of their lives, and upon your decision, grant them the understanding of your intentions for these trials and tribulations. Surround their every waking moment with the Holy Spirit so that patience and faith will endure.

Amen.

Life certainly has a way of throwing punches. Life is hard. When I get overwhelmed and tried beyond my ability to endure, I think of these verses: “God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to thte test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 TEV
Also, “My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Phillipians 4:19 NIV

True believers will accept that they are simply in this world to serve God and due his will. Unfortunately God created us human with human wants and wishes and especially human feelings. Once we can get beyond these earthly barriers and fully accept that we are where we are supposed to be and doing what Gods wants of us, then and only then will we truely be happy and content.

It is only with God that we will survive and be happy. As stated, unfortunately we are human and those feelings will always get in the way - maybe because we all have someone or something we are responsible for and have difficulty in relying on God to handle everything.

Responsibility is a huge weight that only God can handle - if we let him!
